County Commissioners Adopt resolution against nietc

On August 30th, 2024, the Brown County Commissioners adopted a resolution against the National Interest Electric Transmission Corridor, which would in its current proposed state, require the use of eminent domain to seize a 5-mile wide swath through Brown County to transport “green” energy across the country (not to Brown County). We’ve included a copy of the Resolution for viewing and download.

The following is the Editor’s personal opinion and does not reflect the views of BCLA or its members:

While we applaud this Resolution as an important first step in safeguarding our county from this gross Federal overreach, but it won’t be enough by itself. Other counties must follow suit in Kansas and other states, as well as the States themselves. It is likely that even stronger Resolutions and actions from local governing bodies with the ability and authority to resist will be necessary to prevent this from happening.

I would urge any reader to read up on the NIETC plan and to watch the video linked in our previous article on this subject. It is extremely informative and sheds light on the dishonest way the government has gone about this project, as well as gives information on what we can do as citizens to resist.
